Free Classifieds connects advertisers of specific jobs with candidates. Our Job Advertising Policy provides job advertisers with clear instruction on the content and type of job ad we accept for publishing.

Your use of FreeClassifieds.com.au is governed by the Job Advertising Policy, along with our Terms of Use, Posting Policy and Privacy Policy.

Free Classifieds monitor the material provided for publishing and we reserve the right to reject material where it breaches our policy. We will endeavor to provide assistance if required to revise content to meet our policy requirements prior to publishing.

Advertising material must not:

  • include content which would racially or religiously vilify, incite violence or hatred.
  • threaten, offend, abuse or harm others.
  • be offensive, defamatory or indecent.
  • contain abusive, pornographic, vulgar, indecent or unlawful content
  • discriminate, stereotype, humiliate or offend people based on physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender, age, ethnicity, race, religion or appearance. Job advertisements which state or suggest preferred gender, age or years of experience required will not be accepted.
  • breach any local, state, or federal regulations or laws
  • require payment, passwords or personal information which is irrelevant to a job application process
  • propose or contain content about unlawful conduct or activities
  • include profanities or insinuated profanities such as *$?#
  • request a physical appearance description or a photo.
  • suggest sexual acts, excessive violence or nudity. Job ads including but not limited to adult massage, escort services, exotic dancing and lingerie waitressing are prohibited.
  • promote gaming or gambling as this is a service and not a specific job.
  • promote a business opportunity to start your own company or business, work from home and/or use a best possible income estimate. This advertises an opportunity and not a specific job. This type of advertisement is prohibited.
  • be supplied in another language other than English.
  • suggest or contain content that requires the applicant to purchase stock, a vehicle or other assets. An advertisement which requires an upfront investment is self employment and not a specific job. This type of advertisement is prohibited.
  • request payment by job seekers to recruiters to gain access to their range of job opportunities. This is a business opportunity, not a specific job and this type of advertisement is prohibited.
  • promote resume production services. This is advertising a service, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited. We have a dedicated category for this this type of advertisement.
  • promote training courses. This is advertising a service, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited. We have a dedicated category for this this type of advertisement.
  • promote focus groups, trials, research or studies which is either unpaid or a one off payment. This is advertising a service, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited.
  • promote an information session or seminar which suggests work following the event. E.g. Work Overseas. Attend this information session for details. This is advertising an opportunity or service, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited.
  • promote joining a modelling or talent agency. This is not a job and this type of ad is prohibited.
  • promote a chair or a room for rent. This is a business opportunity, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited.
  • provide multiple advertisements with minor changes. Each position should only be advertised once. Unless there are similar roles available in different locations, these ads are considered to be spam or talent pipelining and is not a specific job. This type of ad is prohibited.
  • promote or contain investment product information. This is advertising a financial opportunity and is not a specific job.
  • advertise work wanted. This is advertising a candidate, not a specific job and this type of ad is prohibited. We have a dedicated category for this this type of advertisement.
  • contain strong political tone or vilify other political parties, candidates or individuals.
  • request payment by job seekers to recruiters to gain access to their range of job opportunities. This is a service, not a specific job and this type of advertisement is prohibited.

We accept:

  • advertisements where multiple, legitimate positions are included in a single ad, where the title, description and salary are the same.
  • advertisements for positions in the gaming and gambling industry, such as clubs and casinos.
  • advertisements that require religious education, such as a preacher or celebrant.
  • advertisements for Movie, Television and production casts, including extras where the details of the job are clear, specific and legitimate.
  • advertisements for qualified therapeutic massage specialists.
