Once your ad has expired, the images will be removed. If you decide to re-list your ad after it has expired, you will need to upload your images again.

FreeClassified’s maximum allowable image size is 4 MB (or 4000kB).

You can check the size of an image by right clicking on it, then selecting 'Properties' on a PC or 'Get Info' on a Mac.

If your image is larger than 4 MB you will need to reduce its size before uploading it to FreeClassifieds.com.au. Here are some handy links which can help you to simply compress or resize your images for free.

www.compressnow.com will help you convert the wieght of on image, such as 6 MB to 3 MB.

www.picresize.com will help you to either crop, resize and edit your images.

What file format should images be uploaded in?

Please ensure that your images are in either jpg, jpeg, gif or png format and make sure you have the latest version of your web browser.

Why are my images appearing sideways or upside down?

If you have taken photos on your mobile phone or tablet, incorrect orientation is the most likely cause of this. Some mobile phones and tablets have an edit function so you can change the orientation of your photos prior to uploading them to your ad. You may need to try taking new photos with your mobile phone or tablet using different orientation and see how they upload. We recommend you either take photos with a camera, or edit your photos to the correction orientation on your computer, before uploading them to your ad. We have an image rotation tool which is availble once you have uploaded your image during the ad listing process. Click on the circular arrow icon below the image to open this function. You can then rotate your image left or right and click the green tick button to save it. You can also crop your image with this function.

Why are my images appearing blurry?

Check if you have uploaded either original images or just copies of the original images. Some photo programs and websites, including FreeClassifieds.com.au reduce the size of images for hosting. If you have uploaded copies from other programs or websites to your ad, instead of using original photos, this is the most likely reason your photos are appearing blurry. Copies of photos can often be a smaller file size, lower resolution and quality and they appear pixelated, especially when they are then increased in size. For the best result, if possible please upload original images to your ad to avoid this issue.
